Founder’s Day 2021

Theme of the Year: “Follow Your Dream”

The Education Research and Development Foundation (ERDF) celebrated Founder’s Day 2021 on December 1, 2021, with a series of competitions and activities across various departments of USTM and other institutions under ERDF. The celebrations aimed to familiarize students with the institutional legacy and the inspiring journey of Hon’ble Chancellor, Shri Mahbubul Hoque.

To mark the occasion, competitions were held in different categories such as poetry, article writing, singing, debate, speech, art & painting, photo album/video presentation, quiz, and catchphrase contests.

At USTM, several departments enthusiastically took part in the celebrations:

School of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized an Art/Painting Competition, Article/Essay Competition, and Videography Competition.
Department of Physics conducted poem recitation, speech delivery, singing, article writing, drawing, catchphrase competition, and a quiz based on the life and vision of the Hon’ble Chancellor. The event was hosted by Mr. Sadique A. Chaudhury and Mr. Abhigyanam Basistha, beginning with a warm welcome to teachers and students. Dr. Sanchita Roy, Head of the Department, delivered a speech on the life of the Chancellor, followed by inspiring addresses from students Shaneem Lanong (M.Sc. 1st Semester) and Atiqur Rahman (B.Sc. 3rd Semester), highlighting his struggles and contributions to education. Karishma Laila and Nurul Hussain (M.Sc. 1st Semester) presented heartfelt poetry, while musical performances by Grace Alisha Lyngdoh Mawnai, Muslima Khanom, Kashyap Kalita, and Reminald Lyngdoh added vibrancy to the event.

Beyond USTM, Founder’s Day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm at other ERDF institutions, including:

Central Public School, Patharkandi
Central Public School, Badarpur
KNB Women’s College, Badarpur

These institutions organized engaging activities for students and faculty, reinforcing the mission and vision of ERDF in shaping the future of education.
