USTM Launches Mega Summer Internship Programme 2026 for UG & PG Students Across North East India

Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya | 13th May 2026: The University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) officially launched the USTM Mega Summer Internship Programme 2026 (UMSIP-2026) on Wednesday at the Central Auditorium, USTM, marking a significant initiative aimed at enhancing academic exposure, practical learning, and research orientation among undergraduate and postgraduate students of North East India.
Organised by the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya and supported by IQAC, USTM, the programme provides aspiring students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, industry exposure, and interdisciplinary learning under the guidance of experienced faculty members and experts from various domains.
Speaking on the occasion, university officials highlighted that the internship programme has been conceptualised to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications by engaging students in research projects, laboratory training, innovation-driven activities, and skill development sessions.
USTM, recognised for its academic excellence and innovation ecosystem, has recently secured a position in the NIRF India Ranking 2025 (151–200 Band) and continues to maintain its prestigious NAAC ‘A’ Grade Accreditation. The university leadership stated that the Mega Summer Internship Programme aligns with USTM’s vision of nurturing future-ready professionals and researchers from the North Eastern region.
The programme is expected to attract participation from students across diverse disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, management, the humanities, and allied fields. Through this initiative, participants will get exposure to advanced laboratories, research facilities, mentorship opportunities, and collaborative academic environments available at USTM.
The last date for submission of applications for the USTM Mega Summer Internship Programme–2026 is 10 June 2026. Interested and eligible UG and PG students from colleges and universities of the North-East, including fresh UG entrants, are required to apply online within the stipulated timeline.
