RESEARCH BACKGROUND:

Dr. Palme Borthakur is the Head of Department and Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya. Her Ph.D. research focused on “Modern Music in Guwahati, Assam,” exploring cultural fusion and diffusion in North East India.

– Published 8 research articles in various journals, seminar proceedings, and books
– Edited and published one book
– Expertise in Music Geography, cultural studies, and gender studies in the context of North East India’s geographical environment.
