Course Name: Integrated B.A. – B.Ed

Duration: 4 Years (8 Semesters)

 

The Integrated B.A. – B.Ed. Programme is a four-year course designed to prepare competent, skilled, and socially responsible teachers for the secondary and senior secondary levels of education. This integrated programme combines a strong foundation in liberal arts disciplines with professional teacher education, enabling students to develop both subject expertise and pedagogical proficiency within a single academic framework.

The curriculum emphasizes theoretical knowledge, practical teaching skills, and experiential learning, in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and norms prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Students are trained in modern teaching methodologies, educational psychology, assessment techniques, and the use of educational technology, along with extensive school-based internships and field experiences.

The Programme aims to nurture reflective educators who are capable of addressing diverse classroom needs, promoting inclusive education, and contributing meaningfully to the evolving education system. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Integrated B.A. – B.Ed. programme must:

• Have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent examination from a recognized board in any stream.
• Secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories).
• Qualify in the entrance test and/or selection process conducted by USTM, as per University rules.

 

Admission Procedure

Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the entrance of the University.
