USTM to Host AIU East Zone Inter University Handball Tournament 2025–26 (Men & Women)

Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya|06 February 2026: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) is set to host the prestigious AIU East Zone Inter University Handball Tournament 2025–26 for both Men and Women from 10th to 14th February 2026 at its sports complex on the campus. The inaugural ceremony will be graced by Shri Wailadmiki Shylla, Hon’ble Sports Minister of Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest, whose presence will mark the highlight of the tournament and inspire participating teams, officials, and young athletes from across the East Zone.
Organised under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the five-day tournament will bring together leading university handball teams from across the East Zone, promising high-energy matches, competitive excellence, and exemplary sportsmanship. The championship will witness the participation of talented athletes, coaches, and officials representing various universities, making it one of the major inter-university sporting events in the region.
