Students can also opt for a career as a researcher / scientist in highly reputed research institutes in India as well as in abroad. Students are eligible to apply for various vacancies both at State Forest Services/Indian Forest Services. A botanist can also start his/her own career as farming specialists in agriculture estates, ornamental horticulture; plant nursery, vineyards and fruit orchards.With additional training and experience, a botanist can work in plant-related industries such as pharmaceutical companies, seed companies, biotechnology firms, biological supply houses, scientific publishers and botanical illustrators.
