The one year B.Ed programme was started in the year 2014 and it has been running two year B.Ed course of 4 semesters since 2015. The course curriculum has been framed as per the guidelines of NCTE. Attempts have been made while selecting and organizing different scholastic as well as the non-scholastic aspects of contents of curriculum. To integrate all these aspects to cater the needs of promoting awareness of various relevant issues such as gender, environment and sustainability, human values, professional ethics, human rights with special emphasis on women rights, child’s right to education and equal opportunities of education etc. For environment and its sustainability various issues have been included to make the trainees aware of various factors responsible for environmental degradation and enable them make effort to protect the environment. Drama and art education, health and physical and yoga education have been included for the development of personality, esthetic both physical mental health of the trainees to ensure the development of global competency of communication due emphasis has been on the study of languages and ITC education. The two year B.Ed course structure has been designed for all total 1800 marks, dividing into 4 semester of which semester 1st and 2nd are of 500 marks each and semester 3rd and 4th are of 400 marks each and out of this all total 1800 marks 1015 marks and 785 marks have been allotted for theoretical and practical aspects respectively.
Aims and Objectives of B. Ed curriculum:
All the scholastics and non-scholastics aspects are included in the B.Ed curriculum and have relevancy to the regional, national and global developmental needs. This course is expected to cater to the different types of personal, social, national, global as well as the professional needs of the trainees. The programme aims to encourage the students with the practical knowledge of political, social as well as the environmental issues connecting with the society. It also takes up human values and social commitment by bringing the issues of justice, dignity of life, peace, harmony, liberty, rights, diversity of religion, ethnicity, etc. The programme takes up social commitment by providing scope to the students to visit practical field in village areas, different institutions, parliament, secretariat etc. The programme also offers courses comprising of relevant issues of gender, human values etc. in the curriculum. The curriculum for two years B.Ed. Programme is prepared on the model of the National Council for Teacher Education Guidelines 2014. In addition the Programme aims at conducting in service training programme for teachers and administrators in order to update them on educational issues and findings to develop the required skills using modern information and technology and innovative practice. The Programme also includes organising awareness programmes in the neighbouring areas on education, health, sanitary, gender equality etc.

Eligibility: Any Graduate with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for reserved category)
N.B.: “Graduation or Post-Graduation Degree with fifty per cent marks: Provided that the requirement of fifty per cent marks shall not apply to persons appointed as teachers prior to the commencement of the National Council for Teacher Education (Regulations Norms and Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations, 2010.”
