Art and Culture

USTM regularly hosts many inter and intra college fests and cultural events. While the intra college fests intend to explore the talents of the students within a particular school, the-inter college fests are organised inviting participation from various colleges of the North East. One such activities the University Undertakes annually is North East Graduate Congress. The Largest congregation of graduate students of India where more than 10,000 students takes part in various cultural and sports activities over a period of 3 days.

Along with discovering and boosting various talents, these congress also implant the skills of event organisations and management in the students and help them develop qualities of effective leadership, team spirit and sportsmanship. Thus, USTM indeed focuses on enhancing the lives of our students and endorses both curricular and extracurricular activities.

Additionally the Cultural Forum of the University also organizes regular Music and Dance classes. The Classes are conducted by experts in different Genre after the class hours. An Art and craft museum has also been established in the university, where dresses, musical instruments, craft items etc of different tribes and culture of the north eastern region has been collected and preserved for study and research purpose.
