Master of Arts in Psychology, also known as post graduate in Psychology is of two years duration course. This course focuses on various papers like cognitive psychology, community psychology, research methodology, Psychometry, Personality etc. In today’s scenario various field requires psychological counselling and clinical intervention for their upliftment and updation in dealing with psychological issues. The course, MA Psychology spreads out in a wider perspective in opening job opportunities. The students can get employed as Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Counsellor, Psychologists in Rehabilitation Centres, as Sports Psychologists, school counsellors, researchers, academicians and also can join or associate themselves with various NGOs and social organizations.
After completing MA Psychology, a candidate, can go for further studies, such as M.Phil or P.hD, Post doc in any one of the branches of Psychology.
Objectives:
Eligibility criteria: The students will have to obtain BA/ B.Sc in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized university.
