Today Master Degree in India is providing a base platform for those who want to get involved in higher studies and to get some good results in future. Chemistry is a multidisciplinary subject. All the branches of Science need chemistry. It is the branch of science which deals with the study of chemicals. Various specializations are there in chemistry. Specializations include Organic, Inorganic, Physical, analytical chemistry etc. University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya started Master’s Degree programme (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from 2012 session. The department as a part of USTM has made collaborations with CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, different R&D organizations, IITs, CRRI-New Delhi, Hi-Tec Ireland and many other universities.
