Rules of Competitions

 

Quiz:

·      In each group from a particular college, maximum number of students can be 3.

·      There can be any number of group entry from each college

·      The students should inform about their participation to the organizing team on the instructed time. Failing to do so, will disqualify the particular team from the particular competition

·      Questions can be from any sector

·      There will be 3 rounds: preliminary round, second round & final round

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision.

Group Dance:

            Categories:

a)    Folk

b)   Classical

c)    Modern/Fusion



·      Only one group entry is allowed from eachcollege in each category

·      The minimum number of students in a group should be 3 and maximum number of students can be upto 10

·      The students should get the song in a CD, mentioning College name & Category and handover to the organizing team on the instructed time. Failing to do so, will disqualify the particular team from the particular competition

·      Students can carry the song in Pen drive as well for backup.

·      The song should not exceed 3 minutes and can be in any language

·      Mixing of song is allowed

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision

 

Group Song:

·      Only one group entry is allowed from each college

·      The students should inform about their participation to the organizing team on the instructed time. Failing to do so, will disqualify the particular team from the particular competition

·      The minimum number of students in a group should be 3 and maximum number of students can be upto 10

·      The song can be in any language and should not exceed 3 minutes

·      Using of instruments is not mandatory.  The students should carry their own instruments if they are willing to use instrument.

·      Song can be from any category.

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision

 

Debate:

·      Only onegroup entry comprising of 2 participants is allowed from each college

·      The students should inform about their participation to the organizing team on the instructed time. Failing to do so, will disqualify the particular team from the particular competition.

·      1 participant from the group will speak on favor of the given topic whereas the other will speak against the topic.

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision

 

Photography:

·      Maximum of2 entries can be made from each college

·      The students should give the photographs to the organizing team on the instructed time. Failing to do so, will disqualify the particular team from the particular competition

·      1 entry should display 2 photographs.

·      Theme of the photography will be given on the spot.

·      If any photograph is found to be downloaded from internet or used from any other source, then the participation of that entry will be cancelled

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision.

Skit:

·      Only one group entry is allowed, where minimum number of students should be 3 and maximum number of students can be 10.

·      The students should inform about their participation to the organizing team on the instructed time. Failing to do so, will disqualify the particular team from the particular competition.

·      Time limit given for performance will be 8 minutes

·      Students should get their own props.

·      The organizing committee will only provide the mike, chair & table (if required) etc

·      The group should inform about the requirements to the organizing committee on instructed time.

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision.

 

Best Graduate:

·      There can be any number of entries for each college.

·      All the participant needs to fill up/answer a set of questions. The questions will be handed over to the students during registration on 15th February, 2019.

·      Selected students will be appearing for talent round followed by an interview

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision

On spot painting competition

·      Maximum two participants from one college

·      Medium of painting: Sketch pen/ pastelcolour / Water colour (any one)

·      Art paper will be provided

·      Participants have to bring own sketch pen/ pastel colour/ water colour etc.

·      Theme will be given on spot

·      Time: 1 hour

Extempore speech competition

·      Maximum two participants from one college

·      Medium:  English/ Hindi/ Assamese/ Khasi (any one)

·      A competitor will speak on a topic from two options

·      Time: 3 minutes

Ethnic Show Competition:

·      Two participants, i.e One Pair (one boy & one girl) from each college are eligible to participate.

·      There will be three rounds.

·      For showcasing the glimpse of any traditional culture two minutes will be given to each participant.

·      The participants have to bring their own costume.

·      Decision of the judges will be final and no student can object on the decision.
