Arunachal Governor appreciates Shri
Mahbubul Hoque’s effort
Amenity Centre an ideal entrepreneurial model; to
create employment for 300 people

Rajkhowa appreciated the effort undertaken by USTM chancellor and ERDF chairman
Mahbubul Hoque for building a state of the art Amenity Centre for the students
at the USTM campus.
Shri Rajkhowa, while inaugurating the Amenity Centre on July 9, 2015 in presence
of the dignitaries, faculty members and students, said that no university in the
northeastern region had such an Amenity Centre and praised Shri Hoque for his
entrepreneurial zeal. The Arunachal Governor was also amazed to see the size,
other facilities and infrastructure of the Amenity Centre.
Shri Hoque said that the Amenity Centre would not only provide recreational
facilities to students but also create employment for around 300 people. “The
Amenity Centre is an ideal model of entrepreneurship,” he said.
The Amenity Centre has been built to fulfil the purpose of serving the students
of the varsity under one roof.
In the Amenity Centre, the students can avail food, beverages and stationary
items, and can also spend leisure time for which they need not to go outside the
campus. The Amenity Centre was built in approximately 10 thousand square feet of
Shri Rajkhowa further appreciated the effort of ERDF for establishing an
institution of higher learning with modern infrastructure in the hills of
Meghalaya for the benefit of the students of the northeastern region, within a
short span of time.
