Considering North East as an earthquake prone area, University of Science &
Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) had recently taken an unique initiative to battle
this deadly disaster. With a view to adapt the students community with new
technologies and advances made in the field of Remote sensing and
Geo-informatics, the university is going to start PG Diploma courses in
Geo-informatics from the next academic session.
In this connection, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between North
Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Depatment of Space, Govt. of India
and University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) on 27th April, 2015.
The MoU was signed by Dr. S. Sudhakar, Director, NESAC and Dr. R.K. Sharma, Pro
